As with almost every decent product that works very well, the only "complaint" is that it costs too much. Also, if you want more panels you have to purchase them, but you don't have the opportunity to make the gate smaller if you so desire.

The Hearth gate is also of a very high quality and is easy to install. Because it is meant for sectioning off the fireplace, it is built to not burn - obviously a very good feature! It does become somewhat hot, but the gate will never be in danger of burning.
